Life as a student at Stockholm Business School

Adelina: Learning about SUSB

Hi everyone,

For my first post I thought I should write about some practical aspects which drew me towards the School of Business, some things that really helped me a year ago when I was trying to decide where to apply for a master programme.

In my research on various schools and graduate programmes, I paid great attention to the list of courses offered. I was very glad to see that SUSB had the most important information I was looking for right there on their webpage. is entirely in English and gives free access to a lot of useful information. For example, if you check the international masters section, you will find that every programme has its own page. Aside from overall descriptions of each programme and admission requirements, you can also find the list of all the courses included and  the schedule for each of the four semesters. Moreover, each course is presented in detail, providing information about the teacher and seminar leader, compulsory readings, methods of examination and so on.

I had gone over this webpage a million times, I spent many hours carefully reading about the courses that seemed most interesting and trying to develop a list of pros and cons. But it felt really good to be able to create my own assessment judging from the course descriptions. Usually you would mostly rely on some general presentations of a study programme, whereas now I could actually learn about what kind of books I would have to read, or about the topics of some of the lectures.

This is, in my opinion, one of the great advantages of SUSB, the fact that it is such a transparent institution. Their official webpage has been of great help, it is very well organized and it is easy to find your way around it.

So if you think of applying to SUSB, I suggest you log in to their website and check their courses. There is so much you can find here, some essential details which might help you gain a clearer perspective and make a wise decision.

Check out your favorite programme here

And the complete list of all courses here

Don’t forget to write back to us with suggestions of what else you would like to read about on this blog!

  1. You are doing a great job for prospective students of the school – at least for me. If you have time to, I would like you guys to write about the facilities of the university such as library, places to eat, sports facilities (if there is any), parks and etc.

  2. Hej, Thanks for the input. We will definitely cover these topics in the new year! For now: We have all of the things you mentioned on campus 🙂 More details coming soon… Cheers, Theresa

  3. Hi Adelina…could you please tell me your opinion about SSE and SUSB?prons and cons of each one???thanks a lot

    • Hi there,

I would gladly help you on this matter if I had any special insights, but the truth is that all I know about SSE is what I read on their website. I don’t have any inside information and so I couldn’t compare them. It is common knowledge that it is a very good school with great programs, but I’ve never been there, nor do I know anyone who studies there
but maybe you could find more info on other forums, blogs and so on

  4. It’s the best time to make some plans for the long run and it’s time to be
happy. I have read this post and if I may just I want to suggest you some attention-grabbing issues or advice.
Perhaps you can write next articles referring to this article.

I desire to learn more issues approximately it!
