Life as a student at Stockholm Business School

The Student Association at Stockholm Business School

Here’s an exciting topic for you all this week: the Student (Business) Association at Stockholm Business School and it’s many committees and clubs!

Föreningen Ekonomerna (as called in Swedish) here at SBS is very active and has been for the last 50 years- matter of fact it will be our 50th anniversary this upcoming year in 2015! Sponsored and partnered with big namers like PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Scania, Grant Thornton, and SEB Bank, we are able to set a whole range of spin-off clubs and committees that’ll be sure to meet an interest (or two) of yours!

So what’s on the line-up? Well…we have

  • The Business Committee
  • The Event Committee
  • The Finance Society
  • The Marketing Committee
  • The Social Committee
  • The Sports Committee
  • The International Committee
  • The Education Committee
  • The IT Committee
  • Graduate Student Council
  • Culture Club

…among others! Aside from these committees and club, the Association also has many standalone projects that you are able to apply to get participated in (e.g. The Senior Buddy Program, The Case Academy, The Mentorship Program).

So, what do you do with all this info? Well! If anyone in particular catches your eye or interest, feel free to head on over to the Association’s official website here for more info. Trust me, you’re going to want to get yourself involved when you’re here at SBS- it’s a great chance to gain practical leadership and teamwork skills, a very fun way to meet new people and make new friends and well, because it’s fun to be active at the university you’re attending!

Best of luck,
