The SBS Student Blog

Life as a student at Stockholm Business School

Getting around on campus

If you just arrived in Stockholm you might be in that phase where you check out everything to see where to find what and so on. There is where this blog post is going to be about:

  • Books for courses – You can even find an akademikbokhandeln at the Frescati just next to Lantis restaurang where you can find all the books for your program and if they do not have it in stock they might help you ordering the right version. Do you want to save money on books you can buy second hand books just in the store next to it. Perfect initiative: you pay around 60% of the original price while you even have the possibility to sell your book to the store again after that! Good for the environment and your wallet!
  • Restaurants – There are Prego practically everywhere: at the Kräftriket campus in Building 3 and at the Frescati campus a.o. in Building F, Building D and Studenthuset. Do you like Thai food? Then go to Cafe Bojan. In Restaurang Lantis and Stories (Building A) at Frescati and Värdshuset Kräftan (Building 9), Café Matte (Building 5) at Kräftriket you can find some better and warm food. My favorite places are Cafe Bojan and Värdhuset Kräftan, always good food!
  • Study places – One of the best places to study with best opening hours is StudentHuset at Frescati. If you like to study in quiteness then you can better study at the Frescati Biblioteket or in Smedjan, Building 8 at Kräftriket. You might even consider to study in the city at StudentPalatset at Odenplan or just in every building there are place to sit and study.
  • Academic advisors – Do you have any questions about your degree and how to fill in all the courses, transfer credits from another degree or just everything related to the studies? You can contact the academic advisors at SBS through phone, mail and by walk-in hours. Please check the website for their availability and who you should contact. http://www.sbs.su.se/en/General/Contact-us/Academic-Advisors/

Have a good day!
